I got some absolutely stunning photos of OMNI COASTAL tonight. And after it was all done we had another little surprise. I’ll leave you to find it on your own. Have a good night.
I’m also guessing they don’t do emissions testing in Liberia. 🤣
Oh, and although I didn’t subtitle the ship, that’s the pusher tug PETITE FORTE in the background behind the perched seagull. She was pretty far out, but I thought it made a funny shot.
Just a few quick pics of the elusive pusher tug LEO A MCARTHUR pushing her barge JOHN J CARRICK at Oshawa Harbour.
Just to put this beast into scale, it is almost twice the horsepower of OCEAN A. GAUTHIER. This is one massive tug.
I had totally forgot that Leo was coming. Then my phone blew the foghorn and let me know she is an hour away. Those perimeter alerts are damned handy once you figure out how to do them.

FEDERAL ST LAURENT has changed it’s AIS destination to Hamilton. Therefore, it will NOT be visiting Oshawa tomorrow. It has been struck from the arrivals list, and we will “un-strike” it if the situation changes.
It’s not uncommon for freighters to detour to Welland or Hamilton if their preferred parking spot has somebody else in it. We will keep an eye on it. They could just be waiting for WHISTLER to leave.
LEO A MCARTHUR is also scheduled to make one of her patented fly-bys in the near future as well.
Here is WHISTLER. Originating in Greece, but flagged in Liberia. Assisted by OCEAN GOLF and OMNI COASTAL. Fifty points if you can spot the sports accessory on the aft deck of WHISTLER. I laughed when I saw it.

FEDERAL ST LAURENT returns to Oshawa tomorrow. Check for a time update mid-morning. You know just yesterday I was scratching my head at all the Federal boats in my media library and I thought “how many of those 🤬 things can there be?” Let me save you the research. Here’s the answer.
